Macaulay works together with our community to increase access to technology for children and families of greatest needs. Many children and families facing poverty and marginalization experience not only increased social isolation, but also exclusion from online services and supports. The result is that many Macaulay families have limited access to support and information.

This digital divide has created a gap in family access to information, services, benefits online learning for their children (further exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic) and online social inclusion activities.

Macaulay’s technology access program aims to reduce barriers to digital participation and increase knowledge and information. These programs provide technology equipment individualized technology support, and online programming for participants to learn and practice new technology skills.
